 | Rename Phase 10 Dice Replacement Kit Jan 6, 2010 |
| We bought 5 Phase 10 Dice Games to give as gifts. These are not like the original game. They did not contain the players reference cards, in addition the score sheets were so small and the type was illegible. This was a disappointment and we can recommend this as only a dice replacement kit not as a complete game. | | | | Awesome game! We love it! Jan 17, 2009 |
| My mom loves Phase 10 (the original), but my dad and brothers don't like playing it because it takes so long and we never finish it. So I gave this to my mom for Christmas and everyone loves it. It's much quicker, Yahtzee style, but still stays true to the original. | | | | None of the challenge that makes the card game so fun Dec 21, 2007 |
I love the original Phase 10, but this dice spin-off is really not very good! First of all, completing the phases is no longer a suspenseful ordeal. Now, whoever goes first, wins, because it's so easy to get any phase in 3 rolls of the dice. And there's not as much competition as before. All, in all, I was disappointed.
You try to get through the 10 phases, but now, you roll dice for them. The dice come in 4 colors, and have wild sides (marked with a "w"), but numbers 11 and 12 are gone, and, simply, the elements that made the original fun are gone, too. After you roll, you may keep some dice that will help you complete your phase, and then, you roll again. I once played a game with my sister (this was a long time ago), and every turn, we completed our phase. This game is far too easy for my tastes.
Simply put, this game isn't a great game. It's not even a great dice game. If you like Phase 10, make up some more phases or something like that. Don't bother with Phase 10 Dice. And if you like dice games, Yahtzee: The Deluxe Edition is for you. | | | | good for practicing mental math for elementary kids Jul 19, 2006 |
| Had a lot of fun playing this game with a mix of adults and kids (8-14 years). It is not only fun, but also a sneaky way to get the kids hone their mental math! If it is a group of just adults, I prefer the Phase 10 card game. The Phase 10 Dice is good for a mix of adults and kids. | | | | Wonderful Game Mar 2, 2006 |
| What a fun game, and a different experience from the card version. I highly recommend it! | | | Write your own review about Phase 10 Dice Game
